How do I set up my water/sewer utility services?

What is the holiday trash pickup schedule?
If a holiday falls in the middle of the week, trash will be picked-up on Friday instead of Thursday.
Building & Planning
Do I need a permit for a fence, deck, or shed?
Yes. Visit the Building Permit Application page to complete the online form.
How do I find my property lines?
The City of Weippe has a copy of Clearwater County plat maps; however, the City will not get involved in property boundary challenges. Land owners are responsible for locating their own property lines and may need to hire a licensed surveyor to survey their property.
Civic Engagement & Public Records
When and where are City Council meetings held?
City Council meetings are held on the second (2nd) Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Weippe City Hall – 623 N Main Street in Weippe.
How do I run for City Council or a Mayor’s seat?
Candidate applications, filing dates and residency requirements are available by contacting City Hall or the Clearwater County Elections Department.
How do I request a public record (FOIA/Public Records Act)?

Public Safety & Ordinances
What are the rules regarding loose dogs or barking?
The City has an ordinance prohibiting dogs-at-large and nuisance barking, which is documented in Chapter 90 of the City of Weippe Code of Ordinances document.
Are there restrictions on burning (leaves, trash, or fire pits)?
Due to fire danger, there are burn restrictions every year from May10th through October 20th for all slash piles, burn barrels, and other open burning activities. Contact the Weippe Rural Fire District for further details.
Community & Facilities
Is a business license required to operate within City limits? How do I apply for a business license?
Yes. The City has an ordinance governing business licensing within City limits. Businesses must apply and pay the required fee, no later than December 31st. The Business License Application can be completed online.
How do I reserve the City Park or Community Hall?
Contact City Hall to rent the City Park for your event. The Community Hall is managed by the board of the Weippe Community Club, so the City is unable to assist its reservation. (Awaiting contact information.)
