This online form is for public records requests for the City of Weippe, Idaho only. Be sure to provide correct contact information. If the City needs clarification on your request in order to respond to your request and you provide no valid way to contact you, your request may be closed.
Q. How long does it take to receive records once I request them?
A. We will respond to your request pursuant to applicable law. Idaho residents will receive a response to their request within three (3) business days. Requests from those who are non-residents and not employed by an Idaho resident will receive a response within twenty-one (21) days of the date of the receipt of the request. Business days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., excluding holidays. Requests received after normal business hours (excluding holidays) shall be deemed received the next business day. If additional time is needed to process your request, you will be notified in writing that your request may take up to ten (10) business days to process.
Q. What is the cost of a records request?
A. Per Idaho State Public Records Law, the first 100 pages and/or two (2) hours of labor are provided free-of-charge. Anything in excess of these quantities will be charged a per-page copy fee or hourly wage, whichever is lowest to complete the request. (Contact the City for current rates.)
Tips on submitting focused requests
- Be as specific as possible with the types of records that you are requesting.
- Provide a date range for the records you are seeking. For example, “from Jan. 1, 2020 to the date of the request.”
- List all known departments or employees that may be involved in the subject matter.
